What comes to mind when you think of the color green? A stretching landscape of grassy hills? An apple? Or that particular hue from a toy you loved as a child? For ‘The Green Show’, curators Maya, Lucia and Joe are featuring over 50 femme and non-binary artists, primarily in or around the Bay Area. This includes emerging artists as well as more established names.
The curators hope that the viewer and artists alike find solace and meaning in this shared color, as well as the diversity and variety it can provide a space for. Like a rainbow, The Green Show is a part of a larger continuation, branching off of the Yellow Show displayed at Adobe Books in May of 2024. To build on the immersive nature of the show and event, it will include green walls, live music, and all attendees will be highly encouraged to wear green.
