Now Showing:

We are pleased to announce our upcoming group exhibit “Trance & Emblem” that opens on Thursday, September 5th, and runs through the entire month of September. This exhibit features 6 Bay Area artists, and in it we strived to curate a hallucinatory, hypnotic experience that explores the complex relationships between both artists and audiences and the objects created.

The opening will take place from 6-10pm as part of the SF First Thursday Art Walk. Please send any and all inquiries to mothbellygallery@gmail.com.

“All The Little Things That Happened In Our Heads” Has Closed…

Our August Solo Exhibition “All The Little Things That Happened In Our Heads” by Moth Belly co-founder John Vochatzer has come to a close. If you purchased work from this exhibit, it is now available to pick-up or have shipping arranged.

And for everyone who wasn’t able to make it to see this one in person, you can still view the whole exhibit online here, and read any exclusive interview with John about the show on Broke Ass Stuart here.

Moth Belly Magazine Volume 3 Is Here!!!

The long awaited third volume of our magazine is here! We’re incredibly excited to finally release this 120 page, full color art magazine featuring interviews with Andrea Bergen, Goku Mcafee, Mister Zozo, and cover artist Sabrina Bosco, as well as artists features on Bijijoo, Marina Gonzalez Eme, Arius Ziaee, Itoyo, Elias Hernandez, Tracey Slater, and Dos Diablos. The curation, writing, layout and design done 100% by John Vochatzer.

We will have a limited number of these in stock at our August opening, but in the meantime they are just available for ordering online here.

Join Our Patreon!

We’re excited to announce that we finally created a Patreon for our gallery and for the SF First Thursday Art Walk that we also manage. Times are tough for artists and DIY, artist-run spaces like ours, and any monthly help we can get goes a long way in making sure that our doors stay open and the Art Walk stays organized. For just $5 a month you can make a world of difference for us, and we’ll also include your name on a monument in our world famous bathroom gallery!
