“Merging Pathways” brings the artwork of our dear friend and prolific international street artist Mowcka here to San Francisco, via our friends and neighbors Mini Mart Gallery who leant us their space to organize this exhibition. Born in Argentina, but living between Barcelona and London for the past 13 years, Mowcka has steadily established herself as one of the most prominent street artists in Western Europe and the UK. Now, after 4 months of travel in Argentina and Mexico, she has concluded her journey here with us in California with a new body of work featuring several new pieces made over the course of two continents, and some of which were finished or created entirely here at Moth Belly Gallery in the days preceding the opening. The work explores the importance of dreams, the inevitability of fate, and lastly the artist’s ongoing conflict between being a metropolitan artist yet constantly yearning for a return to nature and the natural world.
